About Alimento
Alimento Limited was founded by a group of friends and family members brought together by a shared passion for food, agriculture, and innovation. Coming from diverse professional and business backgrounds — including Information & Technology, finance, the RMG industry, development sector, agriculture, and manufacturing — we united with a common vision: to create meaningful value through food processing and strengthen Bangladesh’s agricultural value chain. We formed Alimento with the belief that food processing is not only a business opportunity, but also a powerful solution to one of the country’s biggest challenges — the loss and underutilization of agricultural produce. Every year, a significant amount of fruits, vegetables, and other crops are wasted due to the lack of proper processing, storage, and market linkage. As a result, farmers lose income, consumers face price instability, and the true value of agricultural production remains unrealized.
